Liverpool Women’s Health Centre provides quality health and well-being services to improve the lives of women in South Western Sydney. We are a non-government, not for profit organisation that receives funding from NSW Health. We offer a broad range of primary and preventative health care services and programs. This includes women’s health general practice and nurse practitioner led medical clinics; complementary therapies such as naturopathy and acupuncture; counselling and case management as well as support and health and wellbeing groups, activities and programs. Our aim is to improve the health and well-being of women, particularly those experiencing disadvantage.

The Nurse Practitioner role is responsible for delivering high-quality primary and preventative healthcare services to women in Liverpool LGA, with a specialised focus on women’s health, including sexual and reproductive health services. This role involves responding to health concerns presented by Liverpool Women’s Health Centre clients through holistic, trauma-informed care. All duties are to be performed in alignment with the Liverpool Women’s Health Centre’s philosophy, standards, policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.

Selection Criteria – Essential Requirements

  • Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Demonstrated understanding and expertise in working as a Nurse Practitioner in a Women Health Centre.
  • Demonstrated high level of skills in the provision of consultation, treatment and referral services to Women.
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise and provide education to other health professionals and the broader community on Women medical health.
  • Possesses strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to problem-solve, make informed decisions, and work effectively both independently and within a team, maintaining a commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Current CPR certification and professional indemnity insurance coverage.
  • A demonstrated commitment to feminist principles and practice and knowledge of women’s health issues
