Are you passionate about bringing library services to the community? Do you thrive on making a positive impact and enjoy working with volunteers? We are looking for a dedicated and proactive individual to join our team as Library Delivery Service Officer.
The Library Service Delivery Officer reports to the Arts, Culture and Tourism Cultural Outreach and Volunteer Lead and coordinates the delivery of library materials to home service clients (including nursing homes), handles customer inquiries and organises volunteer activities, also supporting them in providing technological assistance to clients wishing to access online library services and digital resources. Additionally, performs home deliveries as needed.
In this role, you will utilise the latest library technology (Spydus 10 technology and the Home Services Module) to select resources tailored to each client’s needs, including adaptive technologies for those with special requirements. You will guide clients in making the best use of our collections, services, and facilities. You will provide essential advice and assistance, ensuring that every client can access the information and resources they need.
A significant part of your role will involve engaging with and managing volunteers and partnerships. You will be responsible for training, and ongoing support, ensuring that they are well-equipped to assist with library deliveries and online tech training for clients. By fostering a positive and supportive environment, you will help volunteers and partners feel valued and motivated, thereby enhancing the overall service delivery.
