Li-Ve Tasmania have a fantastic opportunity for a Vacancy Officer due to a number of exciting new housing initiatives. This position will manage the process from new participant enquiries for our Supported Independent Living vacancies (SIL) through to the handover to the Service Delivery team, ensuring a positive participant experience. We are looking for individuals with experience in the disability sector who have strong communications skills and the ability to build and maintain strong referral networks. If you are a great networker with a strong understanding of the NDIS and are keen to work on some new and exciting housing projects then we want to talk to you.

This position will ideally be located in our Hobart office with regular travel required between our Hobart and Launceston offices.

To be successful in this position you will have:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to exercise a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
• The ability to manage time and prioritise plans and goals.
• The ability to work in a team environment with fluctuating workloads.
• Clear alignment with the organisation’s values.
• A current full drivers licence.
• Previous experience in, and knowledge of, the Disability sector is essential.

Key tasks and duties:

• Develop and implement a state wide vacancy management plan.
• Develop a stakeholder engagement plan for Coordination of Supports.
• Support housing and participant engagement forums.
• Develop vacancy profiles in collaboration with Service Delivery.
• Assist with strategy and marketing of vacancies.
• Manage administrative intake processes.
• Support participants and families through the intake process, regardless of suitability.
