We are hiring a part-time Human Resource Manager to be based in Melbourne. This role requires working 2 days per week and involves overseeing and enhancing the human resources functions of our organisation.

You are ideal for this role if:

  • You hold tertiary qualifications in Human Resource, Business Administration or a related field.
  • You have proven experience in HR Management, with a strong understanding of HR best practices and employment laws.
  • You are proficient in using HR Software, particularly BambooHR.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills.
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • You are an Australian citizen or permanent resident.

WHAT WOULD YOU IN A DAILY BASIS:

In this pivotal role, you will oversee the end-to-end human resources management for our organisation, ensuring effective and timely HR operations and employee relations.

Strategic HR Leadership:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organisation's goals and objectives.
  • Provide strategic advice and support to senior management on HR-related matters.
  • Lead the development and execution of HR plans and initiatives to support business growth and operational efficiency.

Talent Acquisition and Management:

  • Oversee the recruitment and selection process to attract and retain top talent.
  • Develop and implement effective onboarding programs to ensure smooth integration of new employees.
  • Manage talent development programs, including training, career development, and succession planning.

Employee Relations and Engagement:

  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Address employee concerns and grievances in a timely and effective manner.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance employee morale and retention.

Performance Management:

  • Develop and manage performance appraisal systems to ensure fair and consistent evaluation of employee performance.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers in setting performance goals and conducting performance reviews.
  • Identify and address performance issues through coaching, training, and development plans.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure legal compliance.
  • Conduct regular audits of HR practices to identify and address potential compliance issues.

Organisational Development:

  • Lead initiatives to improve organisational culture and effectiveness.
  • Support change management efforts to ensure smooth transitions during organisational changes.
  • Promote continuous improvement and innovation in HR practices.
