LikeMind offers wrap-around services to adults (25-65) living with a variety of mental health, physical health and psycho-social needs. Consortium member organisations provide services to consumers, clients and their families.
This position will see the Intake and Assessment Clinician work collaboratively with consumers, their families/significant others and relevant service systems to respond appropriately to their mental health needs and recovery journey, through the provision of triaging/intake of new referrals to the service, mental health assessments, including completion of mental state examination, risk assessment, biopsychosocial assessments, case formulations and initial treatment planning. They will work collaboratively and provide positive consultation, liaison and linkage with internal and external service providers regarding the mental health needs of consumers of the service.
Essential Criteria:
- Approved tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline and eligibility for membership of the appropriate professional body.
- Registered Nurse - Bachelor Degree in Nursing or equivalent; Mental Health Nursing experience favourable or equivalent. Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Occupational Therapist - Bachelor Degree of Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) to practice with the National Board.
- Psychologist - registration as a psychologist or Provisional Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Social Worker - approved degree in Social Work and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
Other Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience in mental health care, including completion of mental health assessments, short term bio-pychosocial treatments and outcome measures for adults experiencing mental health difficulties.
- Ability to maintain documentation of clinical care and actively contribute to clinical review processes and planning for consumers within a recovery framework.
- A high level of interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), problem solving and negotiation skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate, consult, liaise and negotiate with other professionals and other services.
- Demonstrated ability to actively engage and work collaboratively with adult consumers, their families, carers and significant others.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team and to contribute to a culture of hope, optimism and recovery for adult consumers and their families/significant others.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Mental Health Act (2007) and other relevant legislation.
- 'Working with Children' Clearance.
- Prepared to undergo a National Criminal History Check.
- Eligible to work in Australia.
