WHO ARE WE?

Lighthouse Foundation provides homes and therapeutic care programs to children and young people impacted by long-term neglect, abuse, and homelessness. Our focus is to create caring communities where kids can feel safe, form meaningful relationships, and begin to heal from traumatic experiences. For the past 30 years, our proven Model of Care has successfully transformed the lives of over 1,000 young people using a range of evidence-based strategies. We now educate and support Foster Carers in the same way, so that they too can take care of some of Australia’s most vulnerable children.

HOW WILL I HELP?

Building on a long history of diversified fundraising, Lighthouse Foundation's Corporate Partnerships team works diligently to achieve long-term, meaningful financial partnerships with value-aligned partners. In this high-performing, goals-oriented team, you will manage a passionate team focused on pitching, securing new partnerships, rolling out contract deliverables, seeking in-kind offerings to reduce expenses, tailoring activations/engagements, and fulfilling end to end partnership reporting.

As Head of Corporate Partnerships, you are responsible for leading strategy, securing, and stewarding long term and sustainable corporate partnerships for Lighthouse from a range of key networks.

Bringing your creative flare, events experience, and incredible relationship-building skills, you will increase the dollars coming through the door for the vital programs that Lighthouse runs. As leader of the Corporate Partnerships division your role is to build lasting relationships with business partners while keeping existing relationships fresh and fruitful. Ensuring support for the cause is continued in a long-term capacity, is key.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL?

First and foremost, interpersonal skills are a must, with a level of maturity and understanding needed when working with those who use our services. Emotional intelligence and high-level relationship stewardship experience is required for this leadership role, both internally working across the organisation and externally representing the foundation at diverse levels (from CEOs to ground level volunteers).

From a professional standpoint you will require:

  • 5+ years demonstrated experience with new business development and achieving revenue targets
  • Solid experience working in fundraising, new business development and/or corporate partnerships
  • Ability to work independently on projects and as part of a team
  • Ability to plan, prioritise workloads, and meet deadlines as required
  • Demonstrated people management experience
  • Ability to think creatively to develop unique and mutually beneficial partnership proposals
  • Work/life experience with a track record of successful communication and measurable positive outcomes

Other key skills which would be beneficial:

  • Tertiary Qualification in related field
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Storytelling is a key part of engaging with our Corporate supporters, so communication skills in this area are highly valued.
  • An ability to manage multiple competing projects and their budgets
