ABOUT THE ROLE

Be part of a dynamic fundraising team where your role is vital in supporting the growth of Lighthouse Foundation by providing and maintaining the donor and contact database. You will work alongside the Head of Data and Donor Management and directly report to the Director of Fundraising and Marketing, to liaise with the wider team to ensure the timely provision of accurate data and reporting that informs the Marketing and Fundraising strategies. Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT experience is desirable but not essential. See Position Description for full details.

The Database Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the charity’s marketing and fundraising database, Blackbaud Raiser's Edge. They will ensure that data is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to the rest of the organisation. This role will support the effective operation of the organisation to maximise revenue and donor engagement

Who are we?

Lighthouse Foundation provides homes and therapeutic care programs to children and young people impacted by long-term neglect, abuse, and homelessness. Our focus is to create caring communities where kids can feel safe, form meaningful relationships, and begin to heal from traumatic experiences. For the past 30 years, our proven Model of Care has successfully transformed the lives of over 1,000 young people using a range of evidence-based strategies. We now educate and support Foster Carers in the same way, so that they too can take care of some of Australia’s most vulnerable children.

WHAT WE OFFER YOU

Lighthouse is a growing organisation seeking a dynamic and detail oriented Database Manager. This newly created role will support the Marketing and Fundraising team to increase engagement from the community. As part of our fast growing team you will play an essential role in ensuring accurate and efficient data management and supporting communications efforts that represent Lighthouse Foundation’s work and mission. Your focus will be to maintain the database alongside the Head of Data and Donor Management, to accurately report on the support we receive and assist the Marketing and Fundraising team to increase donations through analysing and sharing data insights.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL?

First and foremost, interpersonal skills are a must, with a level of maturity and understanding needed when working with those who use and support our services.

FROM A PROFESSIONAL STANDPOINT YOU WILL REQUIRE:

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role
• Ability to work independently on projects and as part of a team
• Ability to plan, prioritise workloads, and meet deadlines as required
• Demonstrated commitment to personal and professional development
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

OTHER KEY SKILLS WHICH WOULD BE DESIRABLE:

• Blackbaud Raisers Edge NXT experience
• Other fundraising databases (ThankQ, Salesforce, Donman etc.)
• Other fundraising platform experience (Funraisin, MyCause, Grassroots, Shout For Good etc.)
