Our growing community fundraising department is seeking a dynamic, experienced Fundraising Manager who is passionate about our cause and making a difference in the lives of homeless young people. The ideal candidate will be a creative, collaborative and agile team player who can ‘hit the ground running’ to proactively source, develop and nurture key relationships with external stakeholders.
Demonstrated end-to-end experience in establishing, delivering and growing major fundraising projects is essential to this role, as is an understanding of NFP fundraising best practice. Previous experience using relevant fundraising and CRM platforms is highly desirable.
You will assist in reviewing, improving and streamlining processes and procedures to increase efficiency. Success will be measured by helping Lighthouse in raising awareness, driving revenue to achieve shared financial KPI targets, and strengthening our capacity to acquire and retain long term supporters for our ever-expanding database.
Lighthouse Foundation provides homes and therapeutic care programs to children and young people impacted by long-term neglect, abuse, and homelessness. Our focus is to create caring communities where kids can feel safe, form meaningful relationships, and begin to heal from traumatic experiences. For the past 30 years, our proven Model of Care has successfully transformed the lives of over 1,000 young people using a range of evidence-based strategies. We now educate and support Foster Carers in the same way, so that they too can take care of some of Australia’s most vulnerable children.
Working for Lighthouse Foundation means you will be working for an organisation that cares about the community. Your contribution will help save young lives and play a role in ending youth homelessness in Australia. Your role will provide impact to not only those within Lighthouse Foundation but the countless others who use their services.
Building on a long history of diversified fundraising, Lighthouse Foundation seeks to expand its fundraising potential to reach more young people and to advocate for improvements in the level of care provided to traumatised children and young people.
The Community Fundraising Manager will focus on sourcing, developing and nurturing key relationships with external stakeholders including (but not limited to) organisations such as schools/universities, sporting associations, community groups and businesses as well as individual donors and P2P fundraisers, engaging and motivating them to make a difference by raising funds that support our life-changing programs.
You will also be responsible for sourcing, training and nurturing of a pool of engaged volunteers who can be called upon to assist with fundraising events.
You will work with your team to coordinate, deliver and grow several new major fundraising projects, but the scope will not be limited to the key projects currently in hand and will be continuously evolving, in alignment with Lighthouse’s major growth fundraising strategy.
As part of this role, you will be required to speak broadly about Lighthouse’s work to external partners, where your primary focus is to inspire and encourage them to fundraise for Lighthouse. Success is measured via achieving key revenue targets as well as steadily increasing Lighthouse’s database of supporters.
You will work collaboratively with other teams within our fundraising department including Corporate Partnerships, Trusts & Foundations.

The role sometimes requires commitment to work outside of standard office hours for key events.
