Swan View is transitional accommodation providing safe, secure, comprehensive, culturally appropriate and flexible supports for up to 12 months. Support is based upon the individual needs of people with a mental illness with input from their families and/or carers. The service will support participants to transition to the NDIS and find suitable long-term sustainable housing and supports.
As a Mental Health Support Worker you will work directly with consumers to provide supports that are client centred, safe, and aimed at achieving positive outcomes, whilst promoting independence, choice and decision making. You will support and maintain consumer welfare and interests at all times and models professional behaviours including a high degree of objectivity, integrity, and compassion.
We have a max term (until 31st July) role for 3 days shifts per week which could be extended. We also have casual positions available.
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening check.
