About the role

Life Without Barriers supports our ageing community to remain living independently within their own home. Home Care Workers at Life Without Barriers work as a team to facilitate the delivery of quality services and achieve positive outcomes for clients.  These flexible part time or casual positions will be based in Geelong and surrounding Bellarine area.

Key Responsibilities  

  • Provide quality direct support to clients in line with their individual Care Plan by assisting with client personal care needs and/or domestic assistance.
  • Support client’s skills, independence, and personal growth
  • Establish a rapport and collaborate effectively with clients and their carers
  • Attend, participate and contribute to team meetings and supervision meetings
  • Maintain and update professional skills by actively participating in training opportunities
  • Assist clients to access their community 

Skills & Experience  

  • Certificate III in Aged Care/Individualised Support. No qualification required for Domestic Assistance positions.
  • Current, full Drivers’ License plus a registered and insured vehicle
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificates  

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check.  

To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status during the recruitment process.
