About the Role

This is a challenging but rewarding opportunity for you to make a positive change in the lives of People with a Disability.

Working in a team, you will facilitate the delivery of quality services and achieve positive outcomes with service users in a positive and proactive environment. You will be actively supporting their individual needs and creating a safe environment. You will be responsible for supporting and promoting their skills and abilities, implementing and monitoring their Support Plan. 

This role will service multiple suburbs in the North Coast Region from Redcliffe to Noosa. You will be required to travel to any locations within that area.

Please note:

In order to best support our clients, successful applicants for this position will be required to work some weekends and must be flexible with working arrangements. Availability for sleepover shifts is preferred.

They may also be required to engage in manual handling and the transferring of a client when engaging in personal care.

Key Responsibilities

• All day to day tasks including personal care and household duties
• Community Access & Transport
• Following Person Centred Plans
• Completing all relevant documentation and providing feedback
• Working as part of a team
• Able to complete shift work including dayshifts, sleepovers and some weekends

Skills & Experience

• Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence - Essential
• Current Provide First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain) - Essential
• Certificate III in Individual Support / Aged Care / Community Services or higher – Preferred but not essential
• Experience in the human services field and working with challenging behaviours - Preferred but not essential
• Ability to follow and deliver Person-Centred care
• Passionate about making a positive impact on people’s lives

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
