About the Role

Based in our Cairns office, in this 6-month full time role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and office assistance to our Aged Care team. The successful candidate will have a proactive, can-do attitude and a high level of administrative skills including strong computer literacy and previous financial experience relating to invoicing, payments, and billing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a broad range of administrative support to the Aged Care team
  • Assist with invoicing, payments, and billing.
  • Create, update, and maintain registers with sensitive client information in line with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and respond to incoming telephone calls and emails from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Schedule appointments, meetings and teleconferences and provide secretarial support to meetings.
  • Production of reports as required.

Skills & Experience

  • High level administrative skills and experience in providing support and assistance to management or finance setting.
  • Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Effective time management and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in using Microsoft Office suite programs.
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).

To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status during the recruitment process.
