About the role

Liberty Community Connect is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Executive Officer to lead our organisation to achieve our vision where people on the Gold Coast will live happily in their home and community for the fullness of their life. This full-time role is based in Nerang, Queensland, and will be responsible for driving the strategic direction and continued growth of our home and community aged and disability services.

What you'll be doing

  • Working in collaboration with the Committee of Management to develop and implement strategic and business plans and budgets to achieve the organisation's objectives
  • Providing strong and inspirational leadership to the organisation and its team of dedicated employees and volunteers
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations and financial management of the organisation in accordance with statutory and regulatory legislation and quality standards
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders, including staff, clients and families, government, community groups and funding bodies
  • Ensuring the organisation remains compliant with all relevant legislation and regulations
  • Identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities to expand the organisation's reach and impact
  • Develop and promote the organisation through innovation and continuous improvement
  • Championing Liberty's mission and values within the community

What we're looking for

  • Extensive experience in a senior leadership role, preferably within the aged/disability sector
  • Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with a Board or Committee of Management in developing and fulfilling its strategic objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and develop a high performing team to achieve an organisation's vision, mission and values
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee the day-to-day administrative and financial operations of an organisation
  • Highly developed interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and identify new business opportunities
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory and compliance requirements within the aged/disability services sector
  • Passionate about making a positive impact in the community
