The Family Violence Counsellor provides evidence-based counselling to support the wellbeing and development of victim survivors of family violence (adults, children and young people) who are survivors of family violence. They help connect people directly to services and provide coordinated response to a range of different needs, and where required a whole-of-family violence response, including holding those who use family violence to account. All counselling provided for women is client-centred, strength-based and trauma-informed.
