As Service Manager, you will be responsible for the 24-hour operational management and delivery of effective services including Elizabeth Street Common Ground, the first supportive housing of its kind to be purpose-built in Melbourne 13 years ago in partnership with Unison Housing and DFFH. Launch Housing provides case management support to 65 renters who have had a history of homelessness and provides 24-hour concierge support to the building. The Common Ground model is centred on strengthening individual’s independence and communities by developing sustainable and affordable housing. Common Ground brings people together in a managed building, which includes spaces for community engagement, living skills capacity building, and leisure and recreation.
You will be ensuring operational goals and standards are met and an effective service delivery is provided to all clients accessing the services in accordance with the housing first and trauma informed approaches reflected within Launch Housing Practice Framework standards.
You will lead programs that understand and support diversity and inclusion and work to address disadvantage and promote positive change and help our clients achieve their desired outcomes with improved health and wellbeing, and greater access to appropriate health services. You will be skilled in partnership and stakeholder management and be experienced in quality and service improvements and innovation in service design. You will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders in developing an Alcohol and Other Drugs, Harm Reduction and Mental Health Service Strategy approach across Launch Housing services to help set up a service model opportunity for long term housing and expand both in reach and on-site support to residential sites.
You have demonstrated operational and management experience within the community and/or public sectors. You will have sound people leadership qualities including a high degree of initiative, critical thinking skills, integrity and accountability. As a leader you know it’s your relationships with your team that will create success and your staff’s wellbeing is paramount for you.
