The Role and About You

Launch Housing is on the lookout for a Partnerships Engagement Specialist ready to channel their passion, creativity, and relationship-building expertise to help end homelessness in Melbourne.

We're seeking a dynamic partnership engagement professional to step into this newly created role and join our growing team in the new year. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, people-focused, and adept at driving internal engagement and nurturing external relationships.

As a brand champion and ambassador for our mission, you'll play a pivotal role in expanding our partnerships with industry leaders, social enterprises, and businesses. Your can-do attitude, collaborative mindset, and excellent communication skills will be instrumental in developing opportunities to deepen these connections through engaging staff initiatives, campaigns, events, and compelling content.

In this role, you'll be instrumental in raising awareness about the complex nature of homelessness, challenging stigma, and advocating for collaborative solutions that will help make Melbourne a world leading city in ending homelessness.

You will play an important role in nurturing these corporate and business supporters, by increasing their connection to the cause through staff engagement and fundraising initiatives, events and supporting the development of engaging partner content to demonstrate their impact.

Your adaptability, creativity, and commitment to driving meaningful change will be vital in this dynamic environment, empowering you to collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders and deliver mutually beneficial partnerships for Launch Housing and our partners to support people impacted by homelessness in Melbourne.

What we're looking for (key selection criteria):

  • At least two years’ experience in a similar role establishing and nurturing strong relationships with external partners, stakeholders, and collaborators.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey ideas clearly and adapt communication style for various audiences.
  • Experience in coordinating and managing projects, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are achieved.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving partnership-related goals, such as revenue generation, increased brand visibility, or expanded reach.
  • Experience working in the housing/homelessness or related sector (desirable).
  • Demonstrated commitment to the values of Launch Housing and our mission to end homelessness.
