- Position: Seeking a House Coordinator
- Location: Brisbane South
- Duration: Permanent Fulltime
- Hours: 38 hours per week and availability to attend weekend occasions.
- Renumeration: SCHADS award 4.1.
What will you be doing?
The House Coordinator manages a house with 4 residents to ensure a safe comfortable personalised environment for members with a disability and develop their skills, abilities and aspirations through person centred planning.
What experience is required.
Those interested should have a desire to build meaningful relationships with people who have intellectual disabilities, and a willingness to live and work alongside people who are different from you. We are looking for a person with:
- significant experience and knowledge of adults with an intellectual disability.
- experience in program design and working in a team to provide meaningful outcomes to participants.
- previous experience facilitating programs of community support for adults with intellectual disabilities including their spiritual life.
- experience supervising and rostering a team of people and sharing responsibility for coordinating assistance to adults with an intellectual disability.
Role Responsibilities
As the House Coordinator, you will lead the effective implementation of person-centred plans to assist members with a disability meet their goals identified in a process which includes liaison with their circle of support and other members of their community. You will:
- Oversee the provision of services to support the independent living of members with a disability.
- Coordinate assistants and members with a disability in a life-giving pattern of living.
- Supervise assistants and facilitate the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure a safe home and workplace for the residents of the Morningside House.
- Work with our administration team to ensure that rostering, payroll procedures and service invoicing are efficiently delivered.
- Invite assistants and members with a disability implement activities, practices, and opportunities to engage with L’Arche, a federation of communities across the world.
Other Requirements
- First Aid & CPR and driver’s license is required.
- A positive notice suitability card
