KU is one of Australia’s most experienced and respected providers of long day care, preschool, outside school hours care, family programs and early intervention services.

The Role

We are looking for a passionate Education Support Manager that will strive for equitable outcomes and facilitate the effective inclusion of all children in quality educational programs in KU services.

The role will be based out of our central office in the heart of Sydney’s CBD however, travel to KU services in the Sydney region will be required. This is a permanent 4 day per week position.

Your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Support KU service educators to identify children’s abilities and needs, and support children and families to access relevant assessment and early childhood intervention
  • Assist in the development of training packages for services as required and fulfil presenter commitments of the KU Equity, Education and Support Team
  • Support the provision of quality programs and practices in all KU services
  • Facilitate effective inclusion of all children in KU services
  • Contribute positively to the operations of KU and the realisation of the organisational Strategic Plan
  • Support the Manager of Equity, Education and Support with the provision of Education Support to KU services

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should have:

  • A degree in early childhood education and postgraduate qualifications in special education or inclusive education
  • A current Working with Children Check
  • A driver’s licence and use of a registered and comprehensively insured motor vehicle
  • Knowledge of the early childhood sector, including experience and knowledge of the National Quality Framework
  • Knowledge of the early childhood intervention sector and the current issues affecting service provision
  • Knowledge of child protection legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
  • Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety legislation and safety issues relating to children
  • Current approved First Aid Certificate (preferable)
  • Demonstrated computer literacy, including experience working with online systems and the Microsoft Office package
  • Demonstrated professional level of written and verbal communication skills
