About Knowmore

Knowmore is a nation-wide independent community legal centre providing free legal information, advice, representation and referrals, financial counselling and systemic advocacy for victims and survivors of child sexual abuse. Since 2022 our service has expanded to provide legal advice and financial counselling for people applying to the Territories Stolen Generations Redress Scheme, and free legal advice for survivors of child sexual abuse that are not eligible to apply to the National Redress Scheme.

Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Project Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various projects within the organisation.

The Project Officer will work closely with project managers, team members, and stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, achieving the defined goals initially agreed to and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the establishment and maintenance of project management tools for the organisation
• Support efforts towards integrated service delivery by encouraging multidisciplinary project teams wherever possible
• Gathering the resources required to start the project
• Create detailed project plans, including tasks, timelines, and resource allocation
• Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary
• Coordinate project activities
• Communicate with stakeholders to ensure that their needs are being met
• Identify and mitigate project risks
• Prepare project reports and presentations for management
• Ensure that all project documentation is up-to-date and accurate
• Provide support to project managers as needed
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards.
• Evaluate project success, document lessons learned, and close out the project

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Project management qualifications would be advantageous
• Proven experience in project management
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in project management software and tools
• Knowledge of project management methodologies
