ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation (SAKGF) enables preventative, positive change in the food, health, wellbeing and sustainability habits of children and young people, families and communities right across Australia.

We are seeking a confident and experienced Membership Coordinator to expand our Kitchen Garden Program membership. Reporting directly to the Kitchen Garden Program Manager, and as a key member of the Kitchen Garden Program Team, your role is to:

  • Lead membership engagement, including targeting and on-boarding organic and sponsored members.
  • Seek out new members and diversify the growth of membership, with support from the SAKGF Team.
  • Support the engagement of schools and services via sponsored grant rounds

You will join a friendly, supportive and collaborative group of people dedicated to supporting schools, early childhood services and community settings to deliver pleasurable food education to all young Australians.

  • Full time, hybrid work model.
  • Physical location in Inner Melbourne, close to public transport.
  • $71,007.30 + superannuation and the option to salary package.
  • 12-month contract.

ABOUT YOU

  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to build and sustain productive working relationships internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated high Foundation knowledge including all features and benefits of membership
  • Strong communication and sales skills for outbound calls and lead generation
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, issues and projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated responsibility for projects and a proactive, problem-solving attitude.
  • An agile, collaborative, good-humoured working style that can adapt to a changing environment.
  • Not-for-profit experience and a track record in effective data management is highly valued.
  • A love of fresh, seasonal, delicious food!

The position may from time to time require intra-state and interstate travel. A driver’s licence is required. The applicant must be able to legally work in Australia, and hold a valid Working With Children Check.
