About the role

We are looking for passionate and community-minded Youth Engagement Officers to join our team in a casual capacity. In this role, you will help design, deliver, and evaluate programs and services that support young people across Kingston. You will be instrumental in fostering development, independence, and wellbeing among young people through meaningful engagement and facilitation.

What you’ll deliver                 

  • Support or lead facilitation of youth-focused programs, activities, and school-based workshops
  • Provide excellent customer service, respond to enquiries, and offer accurate information and referrals
  • Contribute to the day-to-day operations of Youth Services, including administrative and reporting tasks
  • Support the delivery of the Kingston Youth Strategy and Action Plan
  • Supervise and support young people during activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment

What You’ll Bring

  • Demonstrated experience working with young people
  • Currently studying or completed a qualification in youth work or a related discipline
  • Level 2 First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and build rapport with young people, families, and community stakeholders
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and manage tasks effectively in a dynamic team environment
  • Experience delivering programs and activities within a youth participation framework
