The Community Diversity and Inclusion Team works alongside community and partners to create stronger and more connected communities with a focus on reconciliation, diversity, access, equity and inclusion.
We are seeking a Team Leader Community Diversity & Inclusion professional to join the Inclusive Communities Department. Reporting to the Susan Quach, Acting Manager of Inclusive Communities, your role is to:
This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on community diversity and inclusion in a forward-thinking and vibrant environment. As the Team Leader, you will have the chance to shape strategic initiatives that empower diverse communities, foster social cohesion, and promote equitable access to resources and services.
You'll be leading a passionate, multi-disciplinary team dedicated to positive change, working on a broad range of portfolios from reconciliation and cultural diversity to LGBTIQA+ inclusion and positive ageing. The position also is responsible for management of the Derrimut Weelam Gathering Place team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on collaboration, is driven by purpose, and wants to influence long-term, sustainable outcomes for the community.
In addition, the role provides the opportunity to contribute to policy development, engage with diverse stakeholders, and seek out innovative solutions to emerging community issues, offering a dynamic and rewarding leadership experience.
