Kids Under Cover is a not-for-profit organisation leading the way in youth homelessness prevention in Australia. Our life changing program combines stable and secure studio accommodation with education scholarships, preventing youth homelessness and helping young people aged 12-25 thrive. In addition to our core program, our Village 21 model is a co-located version of our existing studio program, providing a stable home with wrap around supports and communal living elements to young people aged 18 for up to 3 years.

The Role

The Senior Financial Analyst & Account provides operational capability and technical nous for shared services across the organisation. Reporting directly to the CFO this role involves:

• Partnering with managers and senior managers to drive performance and enhance operational efficiencies across the organisation.
• Preparing financial budgets and reports: month-end, year-end annual and financial reports.
• Performing analytics and tracking key organisational operational and financial KPI’s.
• Overseeing day-to-day financial activities including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Assisting with financial risk management including regulatory compliance, annual financial audit, cash management, and banking relationships.
• Leading projects in relation to procurement, facilities, finance, and business systems.

The successful candidate will be empowered to learn, implement, and grow within the role. You will be supported and mentored and given the freedom to create and think outside the box. This is an ideal role for a qualified candidate to expand and strengthen their all-round skills.

Key Selection Criteria

• CFA/CPA/CA Qualified
• Bachelor of Accounting, Finance (or similar), coupled with IT/Business Systems
• 5+ years demonstrated experience in a similar role.
• Project Management qualifications (desirable)
• Experience managing projects from outset to completion.
• Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and effectively use resources.
