Board Chair (Voluntary)

Kids Giving Back

Job description

Kids Giving Back, Australia’s leading volunteering charity for kids and teens, is looking for a new Chairperson. Could this be you?

Organisation Overview

Kids Giving Back is committed to Creating the Next Generation of Generosity and making giving back to community part of a child’s DNA. We do this by providing hands on, age appropriate, easily accessible, and meaningful volunteering opportunities for children, families, schools, and community groups.

Kids Giving Back is a Sydney based registered charity with Deductible Gift Recipient status founded in 2012, instilling the value of service in the next generation to help develop ongoing relationships between children and the broader community. We believe that through engaging kids and teens in volunteering, we are creating a society that brims with generosity and responsibility for generations to come.

Our programs enable children and young people to undertake practical and meaningful activities to support the work of charities, whilst at the same time assisting this younger generation to acquire empathy, experience altruism and achieve a sense of belonging.

To date over 39,000 kids and family members have volunteered through our programs and opportunities, including providing over 160,000 meals to those in need.

Mission

Our Mission is to create the Next Generation of Generosity by instilling in young people the importance of giving to others, not just of material things but of time through real life experiences.
