ABOUT US

Kevin Heinze Grow (KHG) has been operating for over four decades supporting people of all abilities with the principles of therapeutic horticulture. We deliver evidence-based programs and services in the peaceful, natural environment of a garden setting. Participants primarily work outdoors alongside our highly qualified multidisciplinary team of staff, developing confidence and resilience while engaging in meaningful activities.

KHG closely aligns with a social model of disability and see our role as supporting people as best we can to navigate their lives and the way they wish to engage with others.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a passionate creative fundraiser that can think outside the box to deliver our fundraising strategy at Kevin Heinze Grow (KHG).

Supported by the CEO and Senior team you love seeking and building new connections and opportunities to strengthen the financial sustainability at KHG.

As a key contributor in the development and delivery of the KHG fundraising strategy, your key activities will include:

  • implementing a cohesive fundraising proposition
  • developing and delivering key fundraising programs including Gifts in Wills, regular giving and peer to peer fundraising across multiple campaigns
  • coordinating key KHG fundraising events and activities
  • developing and maintaining key partnerships with corporates and philanthropic foundations

ABOUT YOU

Your strengths are collaboration and thinking creatively. Bringing your extensive experience in fundraising where you have been an integral part of successfully rolling out fundraising strategies.

Using your highly developed time-management, attention to detail and organisational skills to get the job done.

Having an interest in and knowledge of disability, horticulture and/or community services is highly desirable.

You will have:

  • Strong experience in fundraising, ideally in the social service sector;
  • A collaborative approach encompassing stakeholder management, administration, event and activity management and strategic planning;
  • Strong professional experience in effective relationship management building key relationships within the corporate, philanthropic and donor spaces;
  • Extensive project management expertise in managing key fundraising events and activities;
  • Experience with Mailchimp and Canva
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • At least 2 years' experience of fundraising in the not-for-profit sector
  • Excellent capacity to build effective working internal and external relationships
  • Ability to successfully work independently
  • Highly developed attention to detail, time-management and organisational skills
  • Possess a valid Working with Children, NDIS Worker Screening check, evidence of COVID-19 vaccinations including booster.
