We have an opportunity to join the Support Services team. As a Cancer Support Coordinator based at Fiona Stanley Hospital you will provide support services to assist people affected by cancer.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Providing emotional, social and practical support to individuals, families and communities affected by cancer
- Assist in the delivery of support programs
- Ensuring the hospital community has access to our latest information
- Promoting and increasing awareness of our support services
- Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships
- Developing and managing a team of skilled support Volunteers
- Maintaining, collecting, analysing and reporting on data for the centre
Who are you?
To be successful in this role you will have the following key attributes:
- A tertiary qualification in Health or Allied Health, desirably registered with the Australian Health Professional Regulation Agency or equivalent body
- Current Australian drivers licence
- Well-developed relationship management and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values of Cancer Council WA
- Have a positive approach to the workplace
- Actively foster the development of a culture consistent with the values of Cancer Council WA
- Experience in providing support to people diagnosed & living with cancer is desirable
