Kimberley Community Legal Services is a multidisciplinary community legal centre serving communities across the Kimberley from our offices in Kununurra and Broome, and outreach locations across the region.
We are looking for a skilled client advocate to join our Broome team for an initial 12-month period, with potential for a permanent role depending on funding.
As a client advocate, you will be assisting clients in need, with a particular focus on older Australians experiencing or at risk of elder abuse. You will work closely with our Principal Social Worker and our legal team to ensure that vulnerable older Australians are fully supported with a holistic and client-centric model of care.
Local knowledge and a proven record of working with remote Aboriginal communities is a strong plus. A formal social work qualification is a positive, but not required for the role.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants are strongly encouraged!
Contact [email protected], using the subject line: Client Advocate / Social Worker enquiry via EthicalJobs with any questions about KCLS, the role or the selection process.
A position description is attached.
