Female AOD Counsellor (Alcohol and Other Drug Counsellor)
Location: 1 x Batemans Bay and 1 x Bega Hours: Full Time Award: Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award (MA000100) Level (4 ) Pay Point depending on qualifications and experience.
Katungul Aboriginal Corporation Regional Health and Community Services is a not-for-profit organisation providing culturally attuned, integrated health and community services on the Far South Coast of New South Wales.
The Aboriginal Drug & Alcohol Counsellors provides culturally sensitive support services to Aboriginal clients and community members impacted by drugs and alcohol. The role involves providing individual support work as well as running groups and community education.
This role works closely with the Clinical Nurse Consultant, who mentors and develops the skills of Katungul Drug & Alcohol workers.
The role is open to, and applications will only be accepted from people who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, under s14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).
