Support Workers - Youth, Gaming & Community Access

Just Support

Join Our Guild of Heroes at Just Support – Now Seeking Adventurous Support Workers!

We are an inclusive and neurodiverse team who are passionate about providing meaningful, respectful support to young people with disabilities. Many of our supports are delivered through shared interests, creativity, and connection, including gaming, tabletop roleplay, and social group programs.

We are not just another large provider. We care deeply about the people we support, and we hold ourselves to high standards because our clients deserve consistency, safety, and dignity.

We are currently seeking active, adventurous, and engaging Support Workers on a casual basis to support teenagers and young adults across Brisbane. This includes 1:1 community access, small group programs, and sessions delivered through our Dragon’s Gate Gaming programs. If you are ready to be a positive role model and support young people with challenging behaviours to make safer choices, we would love to hear from you.

Your Role in the Party

  • Be a Mentor and Role Model: Work 1:1 and in group settings with young people, building rapport, trust, and emotional safety while supporting the development of positive and safe behaviours.
  • Engage in Epic Adventures: Participate in active play, community access, and shared interests such as Video Games, TCG's, anime, board games, and tabletop roleplay.
  • Support Through Gaming and Groups: Assist with programs such as social groups, board game sessions, and structured tabletop roleplaying campaigns that build communication, teamwork, decision-making, and regulation skills.
  • Be Firm and Fair: Use a calm, confident, and consistent approach when supporting young people with challenging behaviours, maintaining clear boundaries and respectful redirection.
  • Join the Guild: We run multiple TTRPG campaigns and are actively seeking Dungeon Masters. Paid opportunities are available to create and lead campaigns for our clients as part of our structured group programs.

Availability and Shift Expectations

Our support follows the rhythms of young people’s lives. Shifts commonly occur after school, into the evenings, and on weekends. Flexibility is important, and reliability is essential.

While we aim to provide stable and predictable rosters wherever possible, support work can include short shifts, back-to-back sessions, group programs, and occasional changes to meet participant needs. If you are comfortable working in a dynamic environment and can adapt while maintaining professionalism and boundaries, you will fit in well with our team.
