At Just Support, we believe disability support is about far more than personal care and transport. It's about creating opportunities, building confidence and helping people live lives filled with connection, purpose and belonging.

We support teenagers and young adults living with disability to develop independence, build meaningful relationships, explore their interests and achieve goals that matter to them. Many of the people we support are neurodivergent, identify as LGBTQIA+, or have experienced social isolation and exclusion.

We're looking for compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers who genuinely enjoy working alongside young people and who share our commitment to inclusion, authenticity and person-centred support. Whether you're helping someone attend their first Pride event, learn a new life skill, build friendships through gaming, or simply gain confidence in who they are, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day.

About the Role

No two days are the same. Depending on the participant, you may be:

• Supporting community access and social participation
• Assisting with daily living skills and independence building
• Supporting participants to attend appointments and activities
• Helping develop confidence, communication and social skills
• Facilitating hobbies and special interests including gaming, art and creative activities
• Providing support during group programs and events
• Assisting with personal care where required
• Writing progress notes and maintaining accurate records

Many of our participants are autistic teenagers and young adults, so patience, flexibility and relationship-building skills are essential.

• Passionate about empowering people with disability
• Able to work independently and as part of a supportive team

Experience supporting people with autism, psychosocial disability, ADHD or complex behaviours is highly regarded, but attitude and values are just as important to us.

Essential Requirements

• Current Queensland Driver Licence and reliable vehicle
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card) or ability to obtain
• Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or ability to obtain
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain
• Smartphone and basic technology skills
• Full Australian working rights
