The Opportunity:

This is more than just a job - it's a chance to be part of a transformative movement that uplifts young families and creates lasting change. As the Coordinator – Young Parents Program, you will step into a unique leadership role where innovation, empathy, and collaboration are at the heart of everything you do.

You will work alongside passionate peer workers and courageous young mothers to co-create a program that not only supports but also empowers. This is your opportunity to shape a service that listens deeply, adapts responsively, and celebrates the strength of lived experience. You will be instrumental in building pathways to education, employment, and wellbeing—helping young parents and their children thrive, not just survive.

Your previous experience facilitating, leading, and developing groups, coupled with your knowledge of community development principles and frameworks, will play a key part in developing the new program. You have a sound understanding of child development and the risk factors that may present as social disengagement for young parents who have been in the care system or are at risk of going into the protection system. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will be highly valued in strengthening interagency links and pathways that improve access to relevant services.
