About you

This role will suit a candidate with the following skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualification/s and/or relevant experience in field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to produce media releases and other content for external audiences (including but not limited to websites and social media)
  • Understanding of the way media and other communications channels can support broader advocacy objectives of the organisation and to ultimately create social change
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the production of materials from briefing stage to completion

About the program

The Strategic Communication team works closely with Policy department and Jesuit Social Services’ grounded program areas across Victoria, Western Sydney and the Northern Territory to join participant voice, practice wisdom and policy advocacy to raise public awareness of the challenges faced by our participants and the changes needed at a government level to improve outcomes for the whole community.
