We are seeking a key leadership role – Director, Centre for Just Places is responsible for leading a team of professionals working in the areas of research, action and advocacy on place-based inequities and injustice. As the Centre develops and grows, this role will lead the design and trialling of interventions that contribute to building community resilience and capability.
Together with the Executive Director Community and Systems Impact and the advocacy and strategic communications team, this role will take the lead operationalising key priority areas in line with the Strategic Plan building on our significant reputation as a thought leader working at the intersection of social and environmental justice. You will also increase our impact nationally with responsibility for our work in Western Sydney and the Northern Territory.

The Centre for Just Places (the Centre) was established by Jesuit Social Services, with significant seed funding from the Gandel Foundation and the Victorian Government. The Centre focuses on addressing the root causes of social, economic and environmental inequity and injustice by engaging in research, action and advocacy on place-based inequities and injustice. We collaborate with communities and cross sectoral stakeholders to support and enable effective place-based approaches.
