The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Marketing and Communications advisor to join our team.

The role is responsible for the creation and management of both proactive and reactive social media, media and communications opportunities, working from our Marketing and Communications Plan.

As our Marketing and Communications advisor you will be responsible for managing Jobsbank’s social media and spearhead online campaigns that emphasise the significance of our contributions. You will also have responsibility of supporting our communications and marketing efforts to support the delivery of key Jobsbank products and services.

You will support the creation, production, and distribution of our in-house digital content.

This is a part-time position, 3-4 days per week. There is flexibility to work hours across short and/or longer days. Jobsbank is open to supporting flexible arrangements for parents, people with disability and other needs. It is a hybrid working position, with part of the working week based in our Melbourne CBD office and part of the week working from home. The position is fixed term until the end of June 2025.

Due to the nature of the position and industry, there may be a requirement to work outside normal business hours and occasional interstate travel.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Qualifications and/or experience in media, social media, communications, and/or marketing.
  • Previous experience managing social media, communications, and marketing campaigns, converting leads, as well as tracking social media analytics.
  • Ability to manage social media accounts and social media platform management.
  • A keen interest to work in a team at the leading edge of a social change and committed to helping it create positive stories across news, radio, digital, and print.
  • Organised, analytical, and can quickly craft narratives which reach their intended audience.
  • The ability to work autonomously as well as effectively within a small team environment and appreciate the support of other high performing colleagues within a culture that promotes collaboration.
