VACRO is a non-government, non-denominational organisation working with people in contact with the criminal justice system and their families. Founded in 1872 (as the Discharged Prisoners’ Aid Society of Victoria), Vacro works closely with government and non-profit organisations.
The Family Visits Program aims to promote family connectedness, build and strengthen the participants engagement skills, and cultivate positive pro-social relationships through face-to-face and video sessions. Bring your well-developed interpersonal skills and passion to support families impacted by the justice system.
This position offers flexible working arrangements including prison-based work at the Beechworth Prison and remote - work from home. However, there may be occasional work at various other locations on an as needed basis. Occasional evening work is required. This role involves service delivery of a new program so flexibility to adapt to changes for continued success of the program is essential.
