Jewish Care Victoria, is a not-for-profit organisation and is one of the largest providers of aged and community services for the Jewish Community in Victoria and has been servicing the community for 175 years. Our staff come from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds. About you

The person we are looking for will be a great fit in the team and will work with the leaders of the organisation to identify and implement best practice. They will have a strong sense of what ‘good’ looks like and will bring this thinking into the business. Prior NDIS or Aged Care experience is a bonus but not essential. This role will be required to cover the portfolio being in our Disability, Community Aged Care and Social Service divisions. 

What you will do

  • Lead budget for the portfolio and ensure realistic organisation goals achieved
  • Monthly forecast to reflect the most updated business position   
  • Interpret financial results and communicate insights to operation team in effective manner
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide meaningful financial commentary post month end
  • Perform financial analysis and provide commercial support to the operational teams.
  • Create and maintain management reports, dashboards and KPIs to measure business success.
  • Identify business opportunities, issues, flag operational risk and drive business decisions
  • Simplify, consolidate and improve business processes and procedures constantly
  • Assist in month-end closing process as required.
  • Regular visits to the operational sites, to better understand the business and engage with the key stakeholders in the development of a ‘trusted advisor’ position to the business. 
  • Other ad hoc tasks as per directed by senior leaders

You will be:

  • Degree Qualified in Finance, accounting or related fields
  • CPA qualified or equivalent qualification
  • Advanced EXCEL skills essential
  • Prior NDIS or Home Care Packages experience is bonus, not essential
  • Power BI experience is a desirable
  • Effective and efficient communication to all stakeholder at all levels
