Teacher / Learning Coordinator (Identified)


Jabiru Community College (JCC) is based in Zillmere, North Brisbane. We are a small school and learning community that provides education for approximately 80 young people seeking a flexible, caring and holistic approach to learning.

JCC is looking for a qualified Teacher to join our team to help us to embed Big Picture learning principles within a school culture that celebrates First Nations students and their communities. This position will work directly with young people as well as working with the wider staff team and community. You will be supported by and work within our broader Jabiru Team.

This is an IDENTIFIED position for an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander worker

Applicants must have:

  • Skills in helping young people to engage in learning and pursue their learning goals
  • Experience working in community building ways and a commitment to working collaboratively to develop and enhance our support for First Nations students
  • Current Teacher Registration or Blue Card (authorisation by the Commission for Children & Young People to work with under 18 year olds)

Experience implementing Big Picture Design would be well regarded. A current driver’s licence is highly desirable.
