The role is a part time position, with some flexibility with the way hours are worked available for the right person; the position is based at our Ferntree Gully site.

Skill Set:

1. Experience in working and engaging with families and individuals from diverse backgrounds
2. Experienced in working with people with disabilities
3. Sound knowledge of positive behaviour support with a passion for human rights.
4. Sound knowledge base of disabilities and families.
5. Experience in working with people with behaviours of concern and support
6. Excellent communication skills

Prospective candidates will need to undergo a series of safety screening checks before being appointed to any position at IOE. Our recruitment procedures reflect our commitment to the safety of the people we support. Safety screening includes:

• A Working with Children Check
• NDIS Worker Screening Check

In addition to the safety screening, the successful applicant will be required to provide proof of currency for: first aid certification – Provide First Aid HLTAID0012, manual handling and undertake the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.

As mandated by the Victorian State Government, all authorised workers, including Interchange Outer East office based and direct support staff must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
