About Invictus Australia

Invictus Australia is a national not-for-profit organisation committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of Australia’s military veterans and their families through the power of sport. We are the legacy organisation of the Invictus Games Sydney 2018 and work collaboratively with partners across sport, community, government and defence to provide inclusive sporting pathways for all veterans. As a NFP, we rely on the generosity of Corporate Partners, Government and the general public to continue our work.

Position overview

The Invictus Australia Corporate Partnership Manager is a key member of the Commercial Team reporting to the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Brand. There are no direct reports.

The Corporate Partnership Manager plays a key role in fostering long-term, impactful relationships with Invictus Australia’s existing corporate partners. This initial 12-month contract position is responsible for ensuring that partnerships are effectively managed, providing exceptional service, communication and value. The Corporate Partnership Manager will work closely with partners to deliver on agreed commitments, support their engagement with Invictus Australia’s initiatives and identify opportunities to strengthen and expand partnerships over time. This role is central to maintaining the integrity of our partnerships and ensuring that corporate partners remain invested in the mission of supporting veterans through sport.

A successful candidate will be motivated by the mission of Invictus Australia. They will share in the belief that sport has the power to strengthen the health & wellbeing of veterans and their families through both international events such as the Invictus Games, and recreational and sporting activities in local communities throughout Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and nurture existing corporate partnerships to ensure high levels of satisfaction, retention and long-term engagement.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all corporate partners, ensuring clear, consistent, and timely communication.
  • Deliver on partnership agreements, coordinating internally to ensure all benefits, activations, and deliverables are fulfilled effectively and professionally.
  • Evolve and implement current tailored engagement plans for each partner, including regular updates, impact reports, event invitations, and recognition opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure partners are integrated into key initiatives and campaigns.
  • Monitor partnership performance and outcomes, producing reports that highlight impact, ROI, and alignment with corporate goals.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to deepen engagement with current partners through upsell initiatives, joint campaigns, or expanded support.
  • Coordinate partner involvement in events, campaigns, and storytelling opportunities, ensuring a seamless and valuable experience for all stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records, tracking interactions, deliverables, and feedback.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing engagement strategies for corporate partnerships
  • Champion a culture of partnership excellence, ensuring that every corporate supporter feels valued, informed, and aligned with the Invictus Australia mission.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and partnership best practices to continually improve our approach.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in senior account management, relationship management, client services, or a similar role within corporate partnerships, preferably in the not-for-profit, sport, veteran support, or community sector.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and nurturing long-term relationships with corporate partners or clients, with a strong focus on delivering value and impact.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement account plans, deliver against partnership agreements, and identify opportunities for increased engagement and mutual benefit.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, influence stakeholders, and represent the organisation professionally and empathetically.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate across teams to ensure delivery of partnership commitments, activations, and reporting.
  • Experience preparing and presenting impact reports, case studies, and communications that demonstrate value and outcomes to corporate partners.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, mission-driven environment, and able to manage multiple partner relationships simultaneously.
  • High level of proficiency with CRM systems, ideally Hubspot, Microsoft Office, and collaboration tools to manage workflows, track activity, and produce reports.
  • Passion for supporting the health and wellbeing of veterans and an appreciation for the role of sport in creating social impact is highly regarded.

  • Project Management: Well-organised with the ability to coordinate multiple partner deliverables simultaneously, while ensuring timelines and commitments are met.
  • Strategic Thinking: Able to identify opportunities for deepening engagement with existing partners, suggesting new ways to add value and strengthen the partnership over time.
  • Emotional Intelligence: Empathetic and adaptable, with the ability to understand and respond to partners' needs and motivations, fostering positive and long-lasting relationships.
