Interplast Australia & New Zealand (Interplast), founded in 1983, is a not‑for‑profit development organisation that provides volunteer plastic and reconstructive surgical services, alongside allied health and rehabilitation service streams. These streams incorporate a wide range of health‑capacity‑building activities in developing countries throughout Asia and the Pacific region.
Interplast works to improve the lives of people living with a disability. Volunteer plastic and reconstructive surgeons, anaesthetists, nurses, and allied health professionals provide free medical treatment for those who would otherwise not have access to these services. Interplast works closely with local organisations and ministries of health to build their capacity to deliver rehabilitation and assistive technology related health care interventions and systems.
Interplast is a member of the Australian Council for International Development (ACFID) a proud signatory to the ACIFD Code of Conduct and is an accredited non-government organisation with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).
Reporting to the Head of Fundraising and Communications, the Grants & Donor Stewardship Coordinator is primarily responsible for processes related to institutional funding, including identifying appropriate funding opportunities, the development and writing of grant applications, and reporting for institutional funders. The Grants & Donor Stewardship Coordinator will also have responsibilities in implementing broader fundraising administrative support and donor engagement activities.

The grants officer is a member of the Fundraising, Marketing and Communications (FMC) team, and will also work closely with the Programs team and facilitate the necessary collaboration for grant proposal writing, reporting and ongoing donor engagement.
Preferred candidates will be required to undertake pre-employment screening; including criminal background and working with children checks and behavioural based interview questions in line with our Child Protection Policy and child safe practices.
Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory national police check and working with children checks prior to commencement and if successful, the incumbent must undertake mandatory safeguarding training and uphold safeguarding responsibilities in all work contexts.
