Position Purpose

To provide training and care for dogs in Advanced Training at the training offices in ACT. To prepare dogs to be handed over to Integra Assistance Dog Instructors for their final preparation and placement with a client.

Role overview

The Assistance Dog Trainer is a pivotal role within our operational team. The Trainer oversees the development, socialisation and task training of Labrador Assistance Dogs within foster placement and working with our Volunteers in the ACT and surrounding regions. This role is integral to preparing dogs for successful matching with approved Veteran and First Responder clients.
