Our Sydney based client, a National NFP that supports and promotes the health and medical research community that undertake research and innovation, is seeking a Manager of Advisory Services. Our client connects the entire national health and medical research ecosystem, strengthening the bonds between academic organisations, the commercial sector, health systems and philanthropy. This role could also be based in Melbourne.

As Manager, Advisory Services you will be involved in a broad range of projects typically involving strategic planning, policy, reviewing funding programs, stakeholder engagement, collation and analysis of evidence and insights and developing communication material for diverse audiences.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of consulting and advisory work.
  • Identification of new business opportunities and developing consulting proposals.
  • Translating conceptual project ideas to a commercially feasible high-quality project with tangible outcomes.
  • Facilitate qualitative and quantitative research, identify appropriate methods of data collection and engage with a range of stakeholders.
  • Prepare for and support workshops and roundtables, prepare discussion guides, carry out consultations, synthesise findings, create high-quality project reports and finalise advisory project deliverables.
  • Project manage various research, policy, strategy and communication projects.
  • Ensure high quality governance of projects.

Key requirements of this role include:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Strong research and policy experience.
  • Strategy expertise.
  • Ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively through written reports, briefs, and verbal presentations.
  • Project management experience.
