About the Opportunity  

We are seeking a passionate and organised Community Support Coordinator to join our Community Support Team, with a focus on the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS).

This role is primarily based at our Camberwell office and involves supporting older people and volunteers across metropolitan Melbourne. The position plays an important role in reducing social isolation and loneliness for older people by facilitating meaningful volunteer friendships and community connections.

The Community Support Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, inducting, training and supporting volunteers, coordinating recipient referrals and matches, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, and ensuring the effective delivery of the ACVVS program in line with Department of Health and Aged Care guidelines.

This position also contributes to broader Community Support initiatives, including volunteer engagement across other Inclusion Melbourne programs and operational areas as required.

What we are looking for 

  • A genuine interest in, and commitment to, Inclusion Melbourne’s vision, mission and values
  • Experience in volunteer recruitment, coordination, support and retention, preferably within the not-for-profit or community services sector
  • Experience working with older people, community engagement, or social support programs highly regarded
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong administration, reporting and organisational skills
  • Experience maintaining databases and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also managing independent tasks and priorities
  • Experience in ACVVS program support, community development, training or facilitation will be highly regarded
  • Current Victorian Driver Licence

Working Arrangements 

The role is primarily based at our head office in Camberwell, with travel required across metropolitan Melbourne.

Flexible working arrangements are available including hybrid opportunities and some capacity to work from home. Occasional out-of-hours work may also be required.

Safety Screening

Inclusion Melbourne’s recruitment procedures reflect our commitment to the safety of the people we support.  You must have a NDIS worker screening clearance check before commencing work.  You will also be required to undertake the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission’s free online Worker Orientation Module prior to commencing.
