ABOUT THE ORGANISATION
Founded in 2015, Perth based Impact Seed is a proud B-Corp and WA’s leading advisory for Impact Strategy, Impact Measurement, Social Enterprise Venture Building & Impact Investment.
We’re in the business of systems-change finance and entrepreneurship network connectors and builders, and developers of Australia’s first place-based impact investment fund. We have three key areas of work – Impact Venture Consulting, Impact Measurement and Impact Investment Management; and work with corporates, not-for-profits, foundations, entrepreneurs and investors.
Impact Venture Consulting
- Investment readiness building for impact ventures
- Incubation, capacity building and bespoke business building support for new purpose-driven social and environmental impact enterprises,
- Helping existing businesses to transition into impact,
- Certified B-Lab B Consultant.
Impact Measurement and Management
- Building fit-for-purpose strategic impact frameworks.
- Measurement and evaluation,
- Development of Impact Management Strategy (IMS), verification and audits,
- Impact communication.
Impact Investment
- Origination and deal sourcing for impact investors,
- Assisting impact businesses with raising capital,
- Impact investment management.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for someone with strong people, organisational and administrative skills, who can support the founders and project delivery team across a variety of areas to enable us to spend more time doing what we need to do.
This may include coordinating and attending meetings with a variety of stakeholders, supporting and assisting with events and special projects, research, managing calendars, and supporting with our own impact strategy.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Essential:
- Experience working in an EA/administrative management role
- Demonstrated strong time management, planning, and organisational skills
- Strong people and communication skills – both verbal and written, ideally in multiple stakeholder engagement settings
- Capacity to prioritise workload and manage competing priorities effectively
Desired:
- Understanding of social impact and social entrepreneurship and the WA context
- Knowledge and experience with contracts and contract reviews
- Experience in reviewing and updating policies and procedures
- Strong IT skills and capacity to support others with technical challenges
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide executive and project management support to the founders and project staff,
- Arrange meetings and events (and travel if required),
- Coordinate internal and external communications,
- Research for content to be included in meetings, proposals, presentations, etc.
- Support the team to develop, document and maintain workplace systems, policies and procedures.
NEXT STEPS
- Expected start date is ASAP.
- This position will require flexibility and responsiveness to often demanding timelines. However flexible working arrangements can be negotiated, including working from home. We are looking to set up an office in Fremantle in the near future.
