Are you an experienced finance leader looking for an opportunity to take ownership of financial operations, while also acting as a trusted and valued business partner internally across diverse teams?
Working at a leading for-purpose organisation, and reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Manager will play a critical role in supporting the Foundation's financial operations, governance and long-term financial sustainability. Working closely with the CFO, Executive Team, Board committees and key stakeholders within the organisation, you will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, payroll, insurance and tax compliance while also providing insights that support informed decision-making.
This is a broad and influential leadership role, offering the opportunity to strengthen financial performance, enhance systems and processes, lead a qualified accountant and contribute meaningfully to the organisation's strategic objectives.
The Paul Ramsay Foundation is one of Australia’s largest philanthropic foundations and is deeply committed to investing in, building, and influencing the conditions needed to stop disadvantage across Australia. With organisations and communities, they work for a future where people and places have what they need to thrive.
With $1.5 billion granted to date to more than 400 partners, and with more than $140 million invested in impact investments, the organisation is focused on driving positive and long-lasting change in Australia for generations to come.
This is a rare opportunity to join a leading philanthropic foundation and offer your expertise to an organisation that’s helping shape a more equitable and sustainable future for communities across the country.
As part of a collaborative and purpose-driven team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a culture that combines financial stewardship with deep social impact, ensuring resources are managed responsibly and effectively to maximise long-term outcomes.
As Finance Manager, you will provide valuable support to executives, the Board and key internal stakeholders - delivering financial insights that support strategic planning, investment decisions and organisational growth.
You will lead the finance function, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting, robust governance frameworks and effective financial controls, while effectively managing a dedicated accountant. In addition, you will oversee the organisation's risk management framework, insurance program and tax compliance activities while supporting investment and granting teams through strong commercial and financial analysis.
Your leadership will enable optimal financial performance, strengthen financial sustainability and support the organisation's ongoing impact.
You are a commercially minded finance leader with a passion for social change, who combines strategic, solutions-focused thinking with a hands-on approach. You take ownership of financial operations while also being a dedicated leader.
You thrive in dynamic environments, can manage competing priorities effectively and are motivated by the opportunity to be a trusted business partner to various stakeholders and contribute to an organisation with a meaningful purpose. You bring exceptional integrity, professionalism and judgement, alongside a commitment to continuous improvement and strong financial stewardship.
You are aligned with the organisation’s values of courage, curiosity, connection and are passionate about applying your expertise to help create lasting change.
