The Executive Officer to the Chief Executive plays a critical role in supporting operations of the Office of the CE. Acting as a trusted and reliable partner to the Chief Executive, you will apply your strong organisation, administration and stakeholder engagement skills to enable the CE to be continuously informed, prepared and supported across a wide range of key priorities.
This opportunity offers meaningful engagement with senior leaders, government stakeholders, committee members and industry representatives while contributing to an organisation with a clear and important purpose to support safe railways for Australia.
We are searching for a highly organised, proactive self-starter who enjoys taking initiative and thrives in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.
You will bring a calm, solutions-focused approach and the ability to manage competing priorities with exceptional attention to detail. A confident and professional communicator, you will build trusted relationships with ease and be comfortable navigating complex stakeholder environments.
The Office of the National Rail Safety Regulator (ONRSR) is the independent statutory body responsible for national rail safety.
Headquartered in Adelaide and with offices across Australia, ONRSR is deeply committed to promoting and improving rail safety.
Their culture is purposeful, inclusive and collaborative – where people are empowered to bring their authentic best selves to work and each contribute to enhancing rail safety across the Australian community through targeted, risk-based regulation and actively sharing insights to raise awareness.
The Executive Officer to the Chief Executive plays a pivotal role in supporting the CE with a wide range of executive level administration, secretariat, stakeholder liaison and project assistance initiatives.
You will focus on ensuring the Chief Executive is prepared and informed on relevant matters and priorities in a timely manner. Every day you will manage various priorities – from leading on diary management to secretariat support at executive meetings, escalating communication across diverse stakeholders and assisting with internal events and office management.
Your ability to be collaborative, proactive, exercise sound judgement, and maintain a strong service-oriented approach will enable the Chief Executive and broader leadership team to operate effectively and efficiently.
