Impact you will have in this role

This dynamic role will lead the Community Fundraising portfolio focused on all multi-channel national peer-to-peer, DIY, third-party, and signature community fundraising events. This includes signature national peer-to-peer fundraising events, (60km in May and Brave Shave), DIY fundraising activities, (Hair Dare, Host, Challenge and Celebrate) along with third party and signature events (such as marathons and run campaigns).

You’ll will leverage data to craft dynamic donor journeys, maximising fundraising success across the entire portfolio. You will inspire and manage a talented Coordinator while working together to drive the success of events that are crucial in funding cutting-edge cancer research.

This role is ideal for someone who brings creativity, digital innovation and data-driven thinking to deliver impactful fundraising experiences that inspire individuals and communities across Australia to raise vital funds. You will combine strong project management capabilities with a natural ability to build meaningful relationships and engage stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Head of Partnerships and Community Fundraising to set strategy, budgets and plans.
  • Develop and deliver community fundraising events and campaigns, and project manage all events across the portfolio to specifically contribute towards the overall success of community fundraising.
  • Make data-driven decisions to develop donor journeys for each donor at varying levels of participation and engagement, and implement multi-channel targeted donor journeys for each fundraising campaign.
  • Implement digital campaign initiatives across the campaign journey, while also conducting data mining, campaign analysis and reporting.
  • Develop and execute community fundraising acquisition, onboarding and stewardship plans for fundraisers, to increase fundraising campaign participation, conversion rates and fundraising income and optimise current programs.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Head of Partnerships and Community Fundraising, agencies and with internal teams, such as Marketing and Supporter Services to optimise fundraising initiatives and campaigns.
  • Adapt and develop tailored and timely campaign communications to achieve campaign targets along each donor’s journey.
  • Conduct post-campaign analysis to gather feedback and provide recommendations for future events.
  • Attend community fundraising engagement events throughout the year to develop relationships with donors, volunteers, and the wider community Develop new campaign initiatives and ideas to promote continuous innovation, and campaign improvements.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and coaching to the Community Fundraising Coordinator, ensuring the delivery of impactful campaigns and exceptional supporter experiences.

Skills & Attributes

  • Proven success in a similar role project managing multi-channel community fundraising campaigns.
  • Excellent skills across project management, data analysis, digital fundraising.
  • A strong understanding of multi-channel community fundraising tactics and tools with the ability to drive growth across a range of campaigns and events.
  • Strong digital marketing and campaign analysis skillset with confidence in using CRM’s, (such as Salesforce), and third-party fundraising platforms (such as Fundraisin, GoFundraise, and Grassrootz).
  • Success making data driven decisions to build on campaign success and growth and to make agile decisions.
  • Strategic thinking, with the ability to make recommendations and present innovative and data-driven ideas.
  • A collaborative approach, with experience managing multiple projects involving strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage others.
  • Availability to attend fundraising events when needed.
  • The ability to manage and promote a culture aligned to ACRF’s values, that include teamwork, people, transparency, quality, diversity, innovation and optimism.
  • A passion to make an impact in the lives of Australian’s affected by cancer through breakthroughs and discoveries in cancer research.
