Assistance Dogs Australia trains and places unique dogs with Australians in unique situations.

They train dogs that specialise in support for people with a physical disability, autism or PTSD, as well as providing a range of services to these individuals and their families.

Their free-to-client Assistance Dogs provide Independence, self-esteem, improved health and relationships to individuals and families – resulting in stronger and more successful communities.

Impact you will have in this role

As Donor Development Coordinator, you will support in delivering and optimising multi-channel fundraising campaigns, primarily across direct mail, email, and telemarketing.

This role will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless execution, staying on time, on budget, and aligned with best practices.

Reporting to the Donor Development Manager, you will manage both existing and new campaigns to drive acquisition, donor retention, and lifetime value. With strong support from the Data & Insights team, you will monitor campaign performance and ROI, identifying opportunities to improve and grow revenue.

This is a hands-on role offering real ownership, valuable skill development, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on people living with disability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate multi-channel fundraising campaigns (cash appeals, raffles, regular giving) across digital, direct mail, and telemarketing.
  • Manage end-to-end campaign execution, including timelines, creative development, data and lives checks, briefings, approvals, and basic copywriting and graphic design.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on data selections, imports/exports, and process documentation.
  • Manage external relationships with fundraising agencies and suppliers, including data, design, copy, mail houses
  • Monitor campaign performance, provide reporting and analysis, and support data-driven optimisation.
  • Oversee invoice processing and reconciliation.
  • Assist in the delivery of email and SMS communications via Marketing Cloud.
  • Monitor, test and evaluate acquisition and engagement strategies to improve supporter recruitment, retention and experience.
  • Deliver day-to-day administrative support across fundraising operations.
  • Contribute to program improvement through insights, sector trend analysis and innovation.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in direct marketing, preferably in the NFP sector, with a focus on appeals, acquisition, or digital campaigns.
  • Proven ability to support and execute end-to-end fundraising or marketing campaigns, including concept development, coordination, and post-campaign reporting.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing platforms such as CRMs (Salesforce preferred), email marketing software (Marketing Cloud), and Google Analytics.
  • Skilled in managing internal and external relationships, including agencies and suppliers.
  • Demonstrated ability to track KPIs, analyse campaign outcomes, and strong data management skills are essential.

  • A passion for the impact an assistance animal has on people with mobility needs, autism or post-traumatic stress.
