Our union is the voice for 16,000 teachers and school support staff working in non-government education across Queensland and the Northern Territory.

We are looking for two new members for our Communications Team working in the full-time roles of Communications Officers.

One position is continuing, and one position is a 14-month fixed-term appointment, concluding mid-October 2027.

Our union seeks two talented writers, digital communicators and designers.

We need creative thinkers with great attention to detail who can work to strict deadlines and manage multiple competing tasks.

The duties of the positions include the following:

• Researching, writing and editing short and long-form content for various channels, including online newsletters and magazines.
• Producing digital content, including video, to help tell our members’ stories and show how we make a difference as a union.
• Maintaining and moderating our union’s social media channels, including content development.
• Assisting in the maintenance of our union’s website and digital assets.
• Designing engaging member content, including our union’s member magazine. 

Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and Vision6 is desirable. 

The positions are based in our Brisbane office. 

Journalism, communications and digital media graduates are encouraged to apply.

A salary package dependent on qualifications and experience will be determined.
