The Independent Education Union of Australia NSW/ACT Branch represents more than 30,000 teachers and support staff in NSW and the ACT employed in Catholic schools, independent schools, and other non-government organisations such as early childhood education and care and post-secondary colleges.
As an experienced Industrial Officer who has worked in Unions, you will be responsible for the provision of high-level advice and representation of union members across a broad range of industrial matters, including termination of employment, disputes, anti-discrimination, professional accreditation issues and Work Health and Safety.
You will also take the lead in bargaining and drafting for single and multi-enterprise agreements within the non-government education sector.
The role also contributes to the formulation of our union’s industrial strategies and campaigns.
You will generally work from 9am-5pm but occasional weekend and evening work will be required. Overnight travel may also be necessary on an occasional basis.
